Shirvan rugs from Azerbaijan need no introduction with their vast variety of designs where every village in Caucasus had their unique, mainly geometric designs. this is unusual in terms of size is from the village of Peripedil in Shirvan district. Using high-quality hand spun wool, mainly vegetable dyes in mostly geometric designs with brighter colours which in time becomes muted. They are woven by skilled weavers in the region and have no set designs where The designs are passed from mother to daughter. They are highly collectable due to simplicity and the geometric design which appeals to most art lovers and collectors around the world.
