About the piece

Produced in the mountain chain of Caucasus from north to south of Caspian Sea, Caucasian rugs are some of the most intricate and beautifully crafted designs to suite any interior space. The Caucasian carpets are usually made in five different regions and designs from Azerbaijan, Kazak, Kuba, Dagestan and Karabagh. Karabagh designs are often of higher quality and finer weaves compared to the rest and resemble the Persian carpets. The most fascinating features of these rugs are their imaginative geometrical patterns with eternal ways of expressions as well as plentiful patterns of figures and animals.
